Steve Barnet has been an integral part of Maylands Golf Course for over 8 years, assuming the role of Head Golf Professional. His journey in the golf industry began in 1987, and he has been a PGA member for over two decades. Originally from Scotland, Steve's expertise blossomed during his tenure as Assistant Golf Professional at The Western Australian Golf Club, where he served from 2002 before joining Maylands. With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the game, Steve continues to lead the golf operations at Maylands with passion and dedication.

Dylan Brophy

Dylan Brophy joined Maylands Golf Club in 2023 as a prominent Teaching Professional, bringing with him a rich background in professional golf spanning over 5 years. His teaching career flourished alongside his playing career, which saw him participate in tours worldwide. Specializing in Short Game and Trackman Lessons, Dylan is renowned for his expertise in refining players' skills. He is Trackman Certified, Sam Putt Lab Certified, and Aim Point Certified. Dylan's commitment to enhancing players' abilities is evident through his extensive coaching experiences, including a 3-month coaching course in Spain and numerous short game clinics.

Brian O’Reilly

Brian O’Reilly is a PGA Accredited Professional with 10+ years of experience. Originally from Ireland, he turned pro in 2015 after completing his PGA training. Brian has worked at prestigious clubs in both Ireland and Australia, offering lessons to golfers of all abilities. Having shadowed world-class coaches like Ritchie Smith and Noel Fox, Brian’s teaching focuses on individual body mechanics with clear, simple advice to improve and enjoy your golf.

Adam Elliott

Adam Elliott's journey in the golf industry is a testament to his versatility and expertise. With professional experience as a caddie in local Australian and European Tour events, Adam transitioned into club fitting and technology, becoming a Master Club Fitter and Club Technician. His craftsmanship has contributed to victories on the DP World Tour, and his clientele ranges from beginners to Major winners. Adam's qualifications include certification as a Master Club Performance Technician from Mitchell Golf and Trackman Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned pro, Adam's precision fitting and technical insights promise to optimize your game.

Connor Bishop

Connor Bishop is our resident left handed professional and has been an indispensable part of Maylands Golf Course since 2023, serving as an Assistant Professional. A native of Perth, Connor's golf journey commenced at the age of 10, leading him to compete at state, national amateur levels, and the PGA Tour of Australasia. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Connor's passion for teaching emerged alongside his competitive playing years. As an associate member of the PGA since 2024, Connor brings a contemporary approach to his coaching, emphasizing solid fundamentals and personalized instruction. His offerings include 1-on-1 lessons, group sessions, Trackman lessons, and junior clinics, reflecting his commitment to nurturing golfing talent at all levels.

Seong Yeol Kim (Sonny Kim)

Seong Yeol Kim, affectionately known as Sonny Kim, joined the PGA in 2023, adding his expertise to the Maylands Golf Course team as a Senior Assistant Professional. With over a decade of coaching experience and a longstanding membership with the Fiji PGA, Sonny specializes in swing analysis and Trackman lessons, with a particular focus on nurturing junior talent and guiding them towards competitive success. Offering personalized 1-on-1 lessons and group sessions, Sonny's commitment to individualized instruction ensures that each golfer receives tailored guidance to reach their full potential on the course.
